July 4th

The big dance and fireworks for the 4th are held on July 3rd here in Skagway. But that doesn't mean there wasn't tons of stuff to do still on the 4th. We first ran the 5k. There were only like maybe 15 people running in the race. hahaha. I ran the first mile pretty fast, but Allyssa and I just goofed off the rest of the time. It was raining really hard. Jenna took pictures of us, but I have't gotten them back. Im not sure I even want to see them, because it was so early and we were all sweaty. haha. Afterwards we went home and showered and headed down to town.
First there was a little kid parade. Cute little boy huh. Then the main parade. Guess who came? That's right... the PRESIDENT! haha

Right after the parade, we joined everyone for our egg toss. It was very official, because we were trying to break the Guiness Book of World Records. To break it, we had to have 338 people. We had 1,100 people. And guess who was the very first people? Me and Allyssa. hahaha. It was crazy!
Our lucky egg didn't turn out so lucky.
This was just all the people we could see, but the line (2 people facing eachother) went on for 7 blocks.
